42 Days After Festac Businessman Released

It has been 42 days that Mr  James Udiji , the chairman of Comestar Company , Festac Buinessman  was kidnapped  in Festac Town . Mr James Udiji was kidnapped along 72 road Festac taking advantage of a bad spot on the road to waylay their victim.

After 7 whole weeks in the captivity of his abductors on the 7th of September 2015, he was released today, 20th October 2015. He was kidnapped and a huge sum of $1million was demanded as ransome which is an equivalent of 250million naira.

The family was said to have paid the sum of N100 million, but his abductors refused to him go, insisting that the balance of N150 million must be paid or he will be killed.

After spending almost seven weeks in kidnappers’ den, Mr James Uduji, the chairman of Comestar Company was released this Tuesday morning October 20, 2015, by his abductors.

According to Daily Trust , the Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Joseph Offor, confirmed the release of Uduji by the kidnappers.

He however disclosed that the police played no role in it, adding that the force was only informed by the family that the businessman had regained his freedom.

Offor said that he did not have the details of the release, adding that he was not in the know if any ransom was paid.
