The Amuwo Odofin local Scout Association members met today to examine the state of scouting and brainstormed on the way forward towards achieving the new vision of scouting alongside the forthcoming Triennial plan for 2017- 2020 .
The meeting
Which was hosted by the LA president , a former manager to the Nigerian port Authority, Navy Capt. Anthony Olugbode saw the presence of the LA chairman and a former NHQ hospitality, Pa. Seni Oduyoye who presided over the meeting.
The meeting expended time to engineer ways of cushioning the effect of the DC ‘S vacation in August whilst shifting attention to the implementation of community oriented plans.
The president and the Chairman took time to map out programs that will promote community efforts towards a better world and society.
The President, Capt. Olugbode rtd commended the appointment of his District Scout Commissioner whilst recounting the selfless service of the outgoing DC to reviving scouting in the LA which was muribound for over a decade.
SHQ Travels and tours to the Lagos State Scout Council , Rev. IO Mobolade however assured the LA that the SSC will appoint another prolific District Scout Commissioner that will sustain the Legacies of the outgoing DC who is now a a national Heaquarters Commissioner.
The Secretary to the Local Association, Mrs Magbo Grace attributed the flotation of the LA to the visionary appointment of the outgoing DC who is a cottage of strategies while urging the SSC to replace with a competent leadership.
The 84 Year old LA Chairman Pa.Seni Oduyoye charged Leaders at the national level on integrity and regards for due process while calling for peace in the NSO during the meeting closing.
