The Lagos State House of Assembly representing Amuwo Odofin Hon Dipo Olorunrinu has said his tenure is committed to providing improved access to quality education for all.
Honourable Dipo, spoke at the 7th valedictory service, speech and prize giving day of Chrisland Pre-Degree schools held at Lekki, where he said access to education is not enough but access to quality education is part of the vision for schools in Amuwo Odofin and Lagos.
According to Hon Dipo, the access envisioned would be through FREE transportation of school children to schools, launch of free digital learning platforms, quiz and debate competitions, free lunch meals some of which are already on going.
Honourable Dipo said the quest for achieving Lagos dream of becoming Africa’s model megacity, would also help in transforming the State to a global economic and financial Hub but this cannot be done if the children of the future are not taught with learning materials for the future.
Honourable Dipo advised the graduands to believe in the God given talents and even as much as they seek educational growth abroad they must remember Lagos and Nigeria cannot be better if it’s citizens don’t believe in themselves adding that access to quality education can be achieved if political leaders focus on true leadership hence the current generation should focus on voting in leaders with substance.
