With the objective to create sustainable impact in 2016, JCI Festac partnered with Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),  Nigeria Police Force – Festac Command, Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) Amuwo Odofin Unit and Road Transport Employers’ Association .
we enlightened the major commercial drivers in Amuwo odofin (Mini Bus Drivers and Keke Napep – Tricycle Drivers) on the need to obey traffic regulations, and paying attention to their environment and waste management, in order to create sustainable community for us all.
In promoting sustainable development goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) we were able to empower this mini bus and tricycle drivers in their park at 2nd rainbow, Amuwo with substantial information on road safety rules and regulations and waste management.
Our objectives were
  1. 1) To educate the major commercial drivers within our community about road safety rules and regulations
  2. 2) To encourage the commercial drivers to obey road safety rules by having a free training session to be facilitated by the Federal Road Safety Corps
  3. 3) To enlighten the commercial drivers on the need to respect the Police and obey the road safety rules to minimize police restrictions and detentions within the community
  4. 4) To enlighten the commercial drivers on waste management to create a sustainable community for everyone
