See Guidelines for 2017 Lagos local Government Election.

According to National Newspaper, The Guidelines for the forthcoming Local Government election in Political parties are required to

Obtain the following LASIEC form; LASIEC 001, LASIEC 002, and LASIEC 008 for their candidates .

Obtaining of Forms Starts on Tuesday 18th April, 2017 while Collection of forms ends at 12noon, Friday 26th may, 2017 at the commission’s headquarters 2, Birrel Avenue, sabo, yaba, lagos.

LASIEC form 001 shall be completed and returned to the commission by the political parties not later than Saturday 27th may, 2017.

Political parties are to pay administration charges on the nomination processes of each of their candidates as follows. Chairman-N100,0000.

Vice Chairman- N75,000.

Councillor-N50,000.

The above is payable into any bank in Nigeria in favour of Lagos state government using the revenue code: 4130003 an agency code 4080002.

The teller and the electronic receipt issued shall be use for the collection of the stipulated forms from the commission.

The candidate of each political party is required to attach copies of the following to his/her form.

(a) Curriculum Vitae

(b) Birth certificate or sworn affidavit of age; ( Minimum age for councillorship candidates is 25 years while the minimum age for the chairmanship candidate is 30 years);

(c) party membership card

(d) candidate’s voter registration card.

(e) sponsors’ voter registration cars;

(f) educational qualification(s) (up to secondary school certificate or its equivalent);

(g) letter of disengagement from previous employment (disengagement from employment in the public service of the federation, of any state, or any local government should have taken place at least 30 days before the election);

(h) Lagos state residents registration agency (LASRRA) registration card an (i) 3 years tax clearance certificate(iv) A candidate for the position of councillor must be nominated by 10 registered voters in his ward.
