The Executives of the NYSC Arm of Amuwo-Odofin paid a coutsey Visit to the Local government chairman, Engr.Valentine Buriamoh.
Nigeria is a blessed country. It is blessed with a large population, a wealthy array of natural resources, a very highly educated elite and people, a very moderate climatic and good vegetation which abound in its environment.
Those are the words of Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA when the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the Local Government paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Council secretariat, Festac Town, Lagos.
Engr. Buraimoh stated that Nigeria is where God lives, but the absence of good leadership in many parts of the country were good governance is not practice is what is drawing Nigeria back to attain its true potentials. He however noted that with President Buhari at the top of affairs, Nigerians can expect transformation.
In his words, ” with all the euphoria of Nigeria being the giant of Africa, I still think we lack good leadership in many parts of our country. We are not where we should be. Over the years, we have been confronted with leadership problems but thank God President Buhari is making headway in addressing it”.
The Council Chief further said that the idea of NYSC is a very good idea. We must be patriotic at all times. We must give our best and be self reliant.
” I enjoyed my service year. It was a thing of joy to serve my fatherland, and I want you to think in the same direction. You are the light of this country,” he averred.
The Council boss enjoined them to contribute their own quota to the development and growth of the local government
