Valentine Buraimoh Flags Off N-Power Agro Step Down Training

The N-Power Agro Step Down Training Amuwo Odofin was flagged off by the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh.

The Community Chairman has reiterated his administration’s commitment in supporting the unemployed desire to acquire skills, noting  that empowerment of the people is key to economic prosperity.

The Council Chief stated this when he flagged off the Federal Government sponsored National N-Power Agro Step Down Training Programme in conjunction with the Local Government, held at the Otunba Henry Ajomale Hall, Freedom House,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Legislative building, council secretariat, 41 road, Festac Town, Lagos.

 

Engr.  Buraimoh noted that,  alluding to the fact that the Local government boast of burgeoning population of youths,  the driving entrepreneurship growth was a sure way to engage the youths meaningfully in enabling them contribute their own quota to the growth of the economy.

 

In his words, ” There is no way under the present economic condition that we found ourselves, that we can actually employ everybody. So the best thing is to create a framework that would allow them dissipate their energy and creativity into things they would love to do. We have to give the Federal Government kudos for coming up with such ideas.”

 

The Council boss further told the participants that the 4-week  training programme is an opportunity for them to expand their knowledge on farming techniques , which at the  long run would elevate their status in life.

 

Meanwhile, the Master Trainner for the programme, Mr. James Ajibose opined that the agricultural sector is one of the critical sectors in the first phase of the N-power programme because is capable of making the unemployed self-reliant and self-dependent in the areas of farming,  livestock,  poultry and fisheries, amongst others.

 

The training, according to Ajibose is not only about the capacity of the unemployed graduates but empowering them with new effective methodologies to enable them train others.
